A Weekend of Christians Reaching Out in the Savior's Service

Fondly referred to as “WOC”, this is a transformative event has been impacting lives for 35 years and counting.

Each summer, WOC brings youth and adults together from churches and denominations across Louisiana and Texas—and even as far as Kansas—for a weekend of service, community and worship. C.R.O.S.S. stands for Christians Reaching Out in the Savior's Service, and that’s exactly what we do: youth groups gather for three days of hands-on service, powerful worship, and meaningful connection.

What happens at Weekend of the C.R.O.S.S.?

Every year, hundreds of youth arrive at Trinity on the last Thursday afternoon in July. They meet their ICU groups—groups of fellow youth led by 2-3 adults that they'll be working with for the whole weekend—and attend a powerful night of worship.

On Friday and Saturday, we have breakfast and then work on projects from 7:30am until around 3. All across North Louisiana, we've built wheelchair ramps and porches, painted houses, and done yard work for those in the community who can't do these projects themselves. But it's not just the work that's important. It's the relationships the youth build with each other, their leaders, and their homeowner. Youth are encouraged to have conversations with their homeowners, who often have stories to tell and testimonies to give.

Each night of WOC, youth and adult leaders worship through song and hear a challenging message. While the bands and speakers change throughout the years, what doesn't change is how youth grow deeper in their faith.

WOC Jr. is for children of adults volunteering during the day at WOC. WOC Jr. is for ages 5 thru 5th grade (completed). Nursery will be provided for children 8wks thru 4 years old.

Homeowners in the Lincoln Parish area, please let us serve you!

Each year we take on between 15 and 25 projects, including such work as exterior painting, building or repairing wheelchair ramps, deck/porch repair, and yard work. If you meet the requirements below, we encourage you to apply. Applicants will be notified by May if chosen for project.
